A Day at Teeny Tiny
We aim to provide the natural child a safe, prepared environment to learn what their mind and heart desires, while encouraging discovery of what makes them unique.
Child-Led, Play-Based
Our learning center prepares children to become capable, proactive, confident human beings with social grace and peaceful attitudes. We build children’s character by developing their intellect and spirit through practice work, natural play, projects, child-led learning, and creative art.
Strong, Independent, Critical Thinkers
Our entire focus is on creating strong, independent, critically-thinking children. We use a combination of Reggio Emilia and Montessori approaches to best meet our friends where they are, while teaching social justice, equity, and inclusion.
This isn't a Preschool; This is a Protest Movement
This is a movement for play, equality, diversity, and communicty that holds children in high regard. We believe that:
- Children learn by using their senses and moving.
- Each child learns and develops at their own pace.
- Children learn through language.
- Preschool children need hands-on, enriching experiences with a wide variety of materials.
- Families and program staff are partners in supporting child development and learning.
Philosophy & Curriculum
Teeny Tiny Preschool engages children in high-quality early childhood education by utilizing a blend of curriculum, including:
- The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
- Developmentally-Appropriate Practices
- The Reggio Emilia Approach to early learning
- Montessori-inspired curriculum
- Project-based learning
